Honeywell Executive LinkedIn Strategy



Hello Dave and Tracy,

The opportunity and need for executive leadership to have an impact through their digital presence has never been more real.   With the pandemic and social distancing, online engagement trends accelerated rapidly and we saw ten years of digital transformation happen in ten months.

Leadership can play a key role in shaping the organizational brand by leveraging their impact of their personal brand online, especially on LinkedIn.  They can influence their peers, their team, and their clients by sharing company content and their own unique (and hard-earned) perspectives.

 

 

To do so, they have to first understand who their most important audiences are and what information they need to share to with them to create influence.  There’s a simple 3-question checklist that is the difference between floundering online and sharing a strong, clear message.

From there, they can look to share that narrative through a number of different tools:

  1. Creating a powerful Profile that shares a clear brand to every visitor.
  2. Connecting with peers, industry experts, and influencers to build their reach.
  3. Sharing insights and information with their network.

And to do that, it’s critical that they leverage their internal support teams to handle the day-to-day efforts while also being present authentically for key interactions.

By doing so, they’ll harness the messaging impact of thousands of views on both their profiles and posts (all for free).  They’ll create the foundations for better relationships with client leadership, partners, and external influencers.  And they’ll provide guidance and modeling for how their own teams can leverage the new digital world.
